The main reason for choosing to buy travel insurance is an obvious one, peace of mind. Provided you choose adequate and necessary cover there is no reason to expect that in the eventuality of things going wrong you will be sufficiently remunerated. Be it a simple lost or delayed luggage claim or re-imbursement for a serious injury and being flown home early the last thing you want is to pay for it all yourself. It is therefore not only a wise thing, but a good thing to ensure you have adequate cover for your trip. Be it a backpacking multi country adventure, or a romantic weekend somewhere different the fact is you need good quality low cost cover.
